The undisputed master of matching food to whisky, Franz Scheurer, returns once more for us, and this time he’s teaming up with the incredible Darren Templeman at Izy.Aki.
Come and experience what “1+1=3” is all about! Darren’s culinary CV has few peers, and his fresh take on Japanese Kappo Omakase dining has made Izy.Aki one of Sydney’s tastiest destinations. There are precious few restaurants where one of the best chefs in the country personally serves and explains the dishes to you, and the opportunity to pair his stunning creativity and hospitality with Society whiskies, together with Franz’s magical touch, is a mouthwatering prospect.
Being a true izakaya-style venue, this will be an intimate dinner with room for just 24 diners as we take over the restaurant for the night. 5x Society whiskies paired with 5x carefully paired dishes, curated to match (plus a welcome drink). While substitutions and adjustments can happily be accommodated, please note that as a whisky-matching dinner, the menu and the dishes have been specifically prepared to combine with the whiskies for a “1+1=3” experience. Substituted dishes may not achieve quite the same match.
