An Outturn in Couplets?

An Outturn in Couplets?

Earlier this week on our nightly Instagram livestream at 8pm each day, member ‘SMYAN’ challenged our Cellarmaster if Outturn could be communicated in couplets…

SMYAN made us blow our own trumpets,
By challenging us to do Outturn in couplets.

So we’ll give it a try and see how we go,
Pull back the curtains, let’s now start the show:

So one of the tricks with the next Outturn you’ll find
Is that November and December have now been combined.

It’s a bumper edition with lots to read through
And also heaps of great Christmas gifts, too!

There’s a column from Andrew and a column from Matt,
And the usual list of events at the back.

Suzy and Andre have contributed some thoughts.
There’s so much to read; it’s like a licorice all-sorts!

We have Malt of the Month, but there’s now something new
For in this Outturn, you’ll actually find two!

We have some Special Releases, and some bottles are stars
And there’s also news about our Partner Bars.

There’s a brandy, an Armagnac, and also a rum.
And we’ve thrown in a Kavalan for a bit of fun.

There’s a few that are peated; a Caol Ila for sure.
And also a beautiful cask from Ardmore.

There’s a Glenfarclas and a Linkwood – they’re anything but tame.
And there’s naturally an example of a fantastic Grain.

Some are from barrels where bold flavours are rife.
There’s some casks that held sherry in a previous life.

There’s a few casks from Speyside we haven’t seen for a while,
There’s bound to be a whisky in your favourite Flavour Profile.

There’s some whiskies on special, and some bundles to buy
And the Gathering Discovery Pack to take home and try.

There’s a cask that comes from a place near Glenlivet.
If you like malts that are sweet then you won’t want to miss it.

So that’s our next Outturn, it’s a real whisky scene.
It’s all ready for purchase on November 15.
