Being a Partner Bar with the Scotch Malt Whisky Society is something we take pretty seriously, and something which you’ve no doubt seen some of the changes to over the last 12 months for members. It’s now my pleasure to announce the latest Partner Bar to join the Society is none other than Archie Rose.
Archie Rose was founded in March 2015 by Sydneysider Will Edwards. It was inspired by both the distilling industry of Tasmania and the urban distilleries that call New York and London home. This inspiration, teamed with the desire to produce hand-crafted spirits reminiscent of Sydney’s spirit-making past were the foundations that the distillery was built upon.
Their attention to detail in their spirits is mirrored in their presentation at their bar. From the copper-plated bar to the oak tun seating to the very light fittings, Archie Rose is a breath of fresh air on the Sydney distilling and bar scene of which the Society is very proud to be partnering with. Their incredible team are what really make Archie Rose a spirits destination and you’ll have a chance to meet them all at our launch coming up.
So what does this new Partner Bar mean for members and guests?
- The chance to try preview and new release Scotch Malt Whisky Society single cask whisky and spirits at Archie Rose.
- An incredible space both upstairs in their Mezzanine and downstairs surrounded by maturing stocks for our Society member experiences.
- A comfortable and convivial space for you to have a dram, some food, and socialize.
Come join us for a pour of Society single cask whisky at Archie Rose with some light food and a welcoming of the new partnership on Thursday 29th September from 6:30pm onwards. Two Society drams are provided free along with some charcuterie from Black Star Pastry.
