We are absolutely delighted to present a Society Distillery Feature night, focussing on Glenfarclas Distillery where the Society’s roots began with Cask No. 1.1. Join us for a fun and memorable evening with whisky legend and Society friend, Ian McWilliam, Glenfarclas’ Marketing Executive and Keeper of the Quaich. With over two decades of experience at the distillery, Ian has overseen each part of the production process at Glenfarclas, having started in the warehouse, then worked up through mashing, brewing, to distilling, and also as assistant distillery manager before switching to global sales.
Ian will present a wonderful account and virtual tour of the distillery – one of the very last in Scotland to still be privately owned by a family – and will showcase a range of Glenfarclas expressions. We’ll then dovetail these with a number of very special Society bottlings of Glenfarclas, including a unique SMWS release being flown in especially for this event and which will be a July Outturn pre-release just for the benefit of SMWS members and their guests. A delicious light supper is included. 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start.
Tickets are limited and on a first-come first-served basis – we hope to see you there!
