The Grand Tour of Speyside continues around Australia, next stop — Canberra!
Join Keeper of The Quaich and SMWS Australia Chairman Andrew Derbidge for what will easily be one of the most focused, detailed, and informative whisky masterclasses ever presented in Australia as we embark on a grand tour of Speyside and the River Spey.
We’ll explore the region in depth, looking not just at distilleries, but at the region’s geography, history, people, science, and place in the whisky industry. We’ll also present a wee Speyside travel guide (where to stay, wine, and dine!), and, of course, we’ll be exploring and tasting six diverse whiskies from six very unique Speyside distilleries encompassing different flavour profiles, cask types, and age statements.
On the night we’ll enjoy the gorgeous hospitality of Chef Thomas at the two-hatted Table Canberra restaurant and a series of canapés and degustation small plates, in addition to 6x incredible Speyside malts, entertainment, education, giveaways, and a presentation like no other.
