The master of long lunches returns for the first of many planned Society endeavours into incredible spirit and food pairing experiences.
Join Victorian SMWS Ambassador Alex Moores at an intimate and exclusive lunch at Scott Picket’s Smith Street Bistro. This will be an indulgent and flavour-fuelled sensory experience where guests will enjoy carefully matched high-end Society whisky and food — a flavour pairing feast! Just 13 guests will dine in the private, upstairs dining room where they will enjoy five carefully curated whisky and food pairings featuring Vaults Collection and Premium SMWS bottlings, as well as some other fun pairings along the way.
This is an exclusive and intimate members experience with only 13 spots available — each guest will receive a welcome dram on arrival for a canapé introduction, followed by 5x Society drams (being a selection of Vaults Collection and Premium bottlings), with substantially matched food courses prepared by the Smith Street Bistro kitchen, bottomless sparkling water, and ending with a selection of cheeses and goodbye tipple as guests depart.
Guests should be advised it will be a 12:30pm arrival for a 1:00pm start, with the substantial lunch beginning at 1:30pm. Alex will guide attendees through each course and whisky, and explain why he and the chefs decided on the pairing, as well as tell some stories about what makes the premium releases by the Society so sought after. The event is expected to conclude around 4:00pm.
We have selected a very special line-up of bottlings with some high-age-statement Vaults Collection, Premium, and Single Cask Spirit bottlings on taste. We invite you to join us for this exclusive lunch experience which will provide a unique flavour memory for all.
