It’s eight shades of autumn this coming May with a first-hand, in-person look at the brand new eight Flavour Profiles from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society!
The time is finally here. For almost a decade, the Society’s 12 flavour profiles have influenced the way our members interact with our spirit. Now we see a shift from 12 to 8, a simplification of flavour to further inform and assist how you interact with society spirit. A flavour evolution!
Join us at the Royal Canberra Gold Club for an evening of pure flavour discovery, where you’ll have the opportunity to taste a Society dram from each of the new profiles, and write your own notes! Drams will be accompanied by a melange of tasty canapés and charcuterie with your lively State Ambassador Drew McKinnie leading the charge.
In tandem, this will also be an opportunity to view the newly-designed ‘Signature’ range of Society bottles. These will be replacing ‘Core’ bottlings with some minor, yet crucial, design changes as you’ll see. We’re really excited to be bringing these evolved flavours to you!
When? Wednesday the 27th of May 2026, 6:00pm arrival for a 6:30pm start.
Where? Royal Canberra Golf Club; 71 Bentham St, Yarralumla ACT 2600.
Members are welcome to bring guests at member prices. Non-members are also welcome to attend and learn more about the Society.
Please note that there is a strict dress code that will need to be adhered to for this venue:
