Now\, we’re excited to bring you the second Peat Plants — PEAT PLANTS II! A series of four releases across our new ‘Bold & Peaty’ and ‘Smoky & Fruity’ Flavour Profiles. \n“This collection celebrates the powerful and medicinal nature of West Coast peat. We have selected a variety of expressions from Islay along with some similarly robust whisky from the Isle of Mull. These phenol-packed casks cover a spectrum from deeply tropical fruit and smoke through to intense carbolic character. There’s so much flavour diversity to be found in this collection\, in both spirit style and cask type. A real celebration of peat.” — Euan Campbell\, Head of Whisky Creation. \nWe are absolutely delighted to be able to present these four whiskies (alongside two welcome drams) to our members at the New Sydney hotel in April ahead of its National release in Outturn. Members will be able to try the four whiskies alongside a custom three-course menu\, specially prepared by the kitchen to match these drams. \n  \nYour ticket includes: \n\n6x drams — a welcome dram of J.G Thomson\, a peated Heresy release\, and all Peat Plants II bottlings:\n\n53.516 Smouldering delights — 35-year-old\n29.294 A bed of moss and smoke — 26-year-old\n42.89 Engulfed by smoke — 19-year-old\n3.358 Ethereal drift — 21-year-old\n\n\nA curated three-course meal\nThe opportunity to be the first in the country to try and order these rare whiskies.\n\n  \nWhen? DESCRIPTION:Wollongong\, be the first in the country to try the new eight Flavour Profiles alongside a three-course dinner.\nThe time is finally here. For almost a decade\, the Society’s 12 flavour profiles have influenced the way our members interact with our spirit. Now we see a shift from 12 to 8\, a simplification of flavour to further inform and assist how you interact with society spirit. \nJoin us in Wollongong in April as your local ambassador Fred Apolloni guides you through these new eight flavour profiles over a curated three course of dinner at Centro Bar and Restaurant. Guests will be treated to eight drams\, one of each of the new profiles\, and learn about why the changes made\, whilst discovering first-hand what they are. \nIn tandem\, this will also be an opportunity to view the newly-designed ‘Signature’ range of Society bottles. These will be replacing ‘Core’ bottlings with some minor\, yet crucial\, design changes. \nYour ticket includes eight SMWS drams\, one of each of the new flavour profiles\, and a three course dinner\, alongside fellow society members\, and friends.
