DESCRIPTION:EXTRA TICKETS RELEASED!\nSMWS Australia Turns 20!\n2002: Andre Tammes & John Rourke started something in Australia that would forever change the landscape of whisky appreciation forever. \nThey brought the world’s leading whisky club\, The Scotch Malt Whisky Society\, to Australia. They toured around the country with a bag of whisky and gauged interest to see whether or not Australians would truly want these rare and delicious malts. \nThe resounding answer was a yes! So\, the plan was hatched to start the branch and bring the full Society experience to Australia. \n  \nJoin us at Brisbane’s premier private club for an intimate and festive evening where spirits will be high (and in glass) to toast the last 20 years of The SMWS Australia branch’s existence. This will be an exclusive event not to be missed and will see your State Ambassador\, Scott Mansfield\, discussing the branch’s history and evolution. \nEach ticket includes a lavish dinner and five drams of Society whisky — including the soon-to-be-announced 20th-anniversary casks — plus a welcome dram. \n  \nWhen? Friday 30th September 2022 — 6:30pm arrival for a 7pm start.\nWhere? The Brisbane Club\, 241 Adelaide Street\, Brisbane QLD 4000\n  \nMembers are welcome to bring guests at member-ticket pricing. Non-members are also welcome to attend. We will also be selling a dinner-only ticket for those who do not wish to taste the whisky but still attend.

DESCRIPTION:Brisbane — prepare yourself for an evening of exceptional food and fine single-cask spirit pairings with this SMWS x Chef Myles Hartley collaboration!\nThis coming September\, we’re teaming up with Chef Myles Hartley (formerly of The Euro/Urbane & Head Chef at Ocean View Estate Winery) to deliver an exceptional evening of flavour indulgence. \nJoin us at The Mailman in Alexandra Hills for a carefully prepared three-course meal\, paired with 5x SMWS spirits — including TWO unreleased bottlings (one of which is a beautiful 9-year-old Jamaican rum) and a 28-year-old Cognac — plus a welcome dram. All of this hosted by your local SMWS Ambassador Scott Mansfield and Chef Myles Hartley\, who will be walking you through each dish as it’s presented. \nThis event is strictly limited in capacity and is a fantastic opportunity to get together with fellow Society friends in a sit-down (yet still relaxed) setting and enjoy the versatility of our exceptional spirits. \n  \nWhen? It’s a celebration of everything that makes the SMWS truly unique: the whisky\, stories\, experiences\, and most importantly\, the members! \nJoin your local Queensland Ambassador\, Scott Mansfield\, at Common Vice for a private evening of drams and storytelling as you dive into the flavours of October outturn and beyond — including this year’s Gathering bottle: Cask 95.105 Into the carpenter’s kitchen\, a HTMC cask-matured 14-year-old whisky handpicked by our own Marketing Manager\, Adam Ioannidis. \nEach ticket includes 5x SMWS drams (including a 31-year-old sherried Vaults Collection bottling)\, a beer on arrival\, and a two-course dinner (plus sides) from the Common Vice kitchen!
