DESCRIPTION:It’s eight shades of autumn this coming May with a first-hand\, in-person look at the brand new eight Flavour Profiles from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society!\nThe time is finally here. For almost a decade\, the Society’s 12 flavour profiles have influenced the way our members interact with our spirit. Now we see a shift from 12 to 8\, a simplification of flavour to further inform and assist how you interact with society spirit. A flavour evolution! \nJoin us at the Royal Canberra Gold Club for an evening of pure flavour discovery\, where you’ll have the opportunity to taste a Society dram from each of the new profiles\, and write your own notes! Drams will be accompanied by a melange of tasty canapés and charcuterie with your lively State Ambassador Drew McKinnie leading the charge. \nIn tandem\, this will also be an opportunity to view the newly-designed ‘Signature’ range of Society bottles. These will be replacing ‘Core’ bottlings with some minor\, yet crucial\, design changes as you’ll see. We’re really excited to be bringing these evolved flavours to you! \nWhen? Building on the Rare Releases of previous years\, the Society has unveiled a series of specially selected and carefully matured casks globally to mark the inaugural Whisky Wanderers Festival. We’re lucky enough to be receiving 14 of them in Australia (including the highly anticipated five-region blended malt Wandering Alchemy). \nWhere better to return on a cold winter’s night in our nation’s capital than Caribou at Kingston — our favourite Canadian Sports Bar known as the friendliest waterhole in the lakeside precinct? Our Canadian friends are offering a convivial night\, tasty warming foods\, maple-flavoured fun\, accompanied by a selection of 6x Winter Wanderers Festival malts and a cocktail on arrival.
