Join us on this Gathering for 2023 and see how far down the flavour rabbit hole we go!\n\nThe Gathering is a celebration of what makes The Scotch Malt Whisky Society unique. This festival is for all our members\, no matter where they are in the world. Along with access to limited-edition single cask whisky\, they can take part in events in person at SMWS Members’ Rooms\, Partner Bars\, venues and online.​​ \nThe origins of The Gathering date back to September 2013 when we celebrated our 30th anniversary with a party. Now 10 years on\, as we celebrate our 40th anniversary\, we’re inviting our members around the world to come together for our BIGGEST party yet. \n— \nLaunceston your time has come — LET’S GATHER! Tassie Ambassador Tom Rofe will be hosting a delicious and intimate dinner at Geronimo Aperitivo Bar & Restaurant this September to celebrate Global Gathering. 5x SMWS Gathering casks will be enjoyed alongside a two-course dinner with share plates that will warm the heart and ignite your senses! This year is extra special as we’ve secured Gathering bottles from several other branches — making this one of our most exciting Gathering years to date (not to mention the Australian exclusive Gathering cask selected by our very own Alex Moores). Let’s GATHER and share the spirit of the world’s leading whisky club. \n— \n  \nWhen? Saturday 16th of September 2023 — 6:00pm arrival for a 6:30pm start.\nWhere?
