DESCRIPTION:A night to remember — one club\, 6 AMAZING casks!\nJoin the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as we crack open all six festival casks — Islay\, Speyside\, Campbelltown\, Highlands\, and the Lowlands — on Saturday the 14th of May for a VERY special preview event. Yep\, all SIX festival casks will be available to try before they land in the country\, so this event is not to be missed! \nThese six whiskies will be enjoyed by the entire SMWS club world over; Tasmanian Ambassador Tom Rofe and Country Director Matt Bailey will be teaming up to present these phenomenal casks at the Tasmanian premier Partner Bar\, New Sydney Hotel\, for THE tasting experience of the year — the Scottish Whisky Festivals tasting. \nSo what does the night hold in store? Six drams\, one of each festival cask\, and a two-course meal — main and dessert + a Society highball on arrival. \n  \nWhen? Saturday the 14th of May\, 6pm arrival for a 6:30pm start\nWhere? New Sydney Hotel\, 87 Bathurst St\, Hobart TAS 7000 \n  \nMembers are welcome to bring guests at member-ticket pricing. They toured around the country with a bag of whisky and gauged interest to see whether or not Australians would truly want these rare and delicious malts. \nThe resounding answer was a yes! So\, the plan was hatched to start the branch and bring the full Society experience to Australia. \nCome join in at Tasmania’s premier Partner Bar\, the New Sydney Hotel\, as we celebrate the 20th year of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society being Down Under in ‘Straya.
