SUMMARY:SMWS x Starward: Distillery Preview and Tasting Party
DESCRIPTION:The Festive Season is upon us\, the weather is warming up\, and we’ve put together an absolutely unique once-in-a-lifetime tasting to celebrate. \nStarward Whisky Distillery\, whom you might know for their accessible and affordable Starward single malt\, has moved their entire distillery from Essendon Fields to Port Melbourne as they ramp up production and expand as a distillery. As a special treat for SMWS members\, we’ve secured a special preview night to come and see the new distillery\, take in a tour of the facilities\, and taste three Starward expressions (Solera\, Wine Cask\, and a New World Projects limited release). As if that’s not enough\, we’ll also taste three rather old and very rare single casks from the Society ranging from 18 to 38 years of age. DESCRIPTION:Greet the Season\n \nTwas a month before Christmas and a thought did stick;  \nwhich single cask whisky for jolly St Nick?  \nA dram\, rich and rare;  a whisky of quality\, of flavour and flair!  \nSingle cask malts worthy of Society Vaults.  \nJoin us as we welcome the season of goodwill with a flight of unique whiskies.  Our path will take us to Speyside for something young and spritely which will carry you away with a wave of sweetness.  Spicy and sweet drams from a distant fields follow; a young American and ancient Scot.  Lastly we turn to the magic island of Islay to savour whiskies from two iconic distilleries. \nWe are thrilled to have the Executive Chef of The Brisbane Club and his team present us with a supper\, each divine canape crafted to match our whiskies and inspired by the season.  What a great way to unwrap the unique qualities of such singular whiskies. \nSo come along Members\, so come along Guests\, calling all Whisky Lovers – greet the season with a night of five heavenly spirits; all in one night!
