DESCRIPTION:Sail down to The Captain’s Balcony for a very special Outturn preview!\nOur latest Sydney Partner Bar\, The Captain’s Balcony\, is hosting another of their popular Outturn preview tastings in October with a very exciting line-up including the 20th-anniversary casks\, a bottle of Cask 73.85 Anzac biscuits & cricket bats (the 15th-anniversary bottling) + a yet-to-be-announced October Outturn cask. \nAs a special treat\, there will be an opportunity to pre-order the 20th-anniversary casks on the night. All drams will be served with a selection of canapés from the kitchen; guests may also order meals from the kitchen on the night. The Captain’s Balcony also houses an extensive selection of SMWS drams available by the dram and half-dram for members and non-members to sample (members receive discounts on all SMWS drams). \nSeating is limited and open to members and non-members. DESCRIPTION:2002: Andre Tammes & John Rourke started something in Australia that would forever change the landscape of whisky appreciation forever.\nThey brought the world’s leading whisky club\, The Scotch Malt Whisky Society\, to Australia. They toured around the country with a bag of whisky and gauged interest to see whether or not Australians would truly want these rare and delicious malts. \nThe resounding answer was a yes! So\, the plan was hatched to start the branch and bring the full Society experience to Australia. \n\n\n\nIn 2012 we celebrated our 10th anniversary of the branch\, and in 2017\, our 15th anniversary. Fast forward to 2022 and we’ve hit our 20-year milestone\, and you guessed it\, we have some rather special 20th-anniversary casks and experiences to share yet again.\n\nAt this celebration on the 16th of October\, we’ll be taking over our latest Partner Bar\, Terrarium\, in Perth.
