DESCRIPTION:Some folks say “absence makes the heart grow fonder”\nThe tides have turned and the winds are changing — The Scotch Malt Whisky Society is celebrating its 40th anniversary and Canberra will be home to the first sit-down masterclass of the year with our National Director Matt Bailey. Join us at The National Press Club as Matt and your local Ambassador Drew McKinnie guide you through a formal seated whisky-tasting experience as some rare\, new and delicious drams are explored. Here we celebrate our reunion with old friends\, and the discovery of new friends\, our wonderful partners\, our love of exceptional drams and good times. \nGuests can expect six unique single-cask\, cask-strength Society drams along with grazing platters and canapés\, all presented by National Branch Director Matt Bailey. This event will be replacing the initial ‘STEPS’ format for a more intimate and tailored tasting experience. \n  \nWhen? Wednesday 29th March 2023 — 6:15pm arrival for a 6:30pm start.\nWhere? National Press Club of Australia\, 16 National Circuit\, Barton ACT 2600.\n  \nMembers are welcome to bring guests at member prices. Non-members are also welcome to attend.
