DESCRIPTION:Taste all 8 drams and write your own tasting notes this May at Common Vice as the new Flavour Profiles land in Brissie!\nThe time has arrived. For almost a decade\, the Society’s 12 flavour profiles have influenced the way our members interact with our spirit. Now we see a shift from 12 to 8\, a simplification of flavour to further inform and assist how you interact with society spirit. A flavour evolution! \nJoin us at Common Vice on May 28 for a flavour-fuelled dinner where you’ll get to taste all eight of the new flavour profiles + write your own tasting notes. Eight drams\, three-course dinner\, and the chance to get acquainted with the new profiles live and in-person. \nIn tandem\, this will also be an opportunity to view the newly-designed ‘Signature’ range of Society bottles. These will be replacing ‘Core’ bottlings with some minor\, yet crucial\, design changes as you’ll see. We’re really excited to be bringing these evolved flavours to you! \n\nWhen? DESCRIPTION:S.M.W.S — the limited Winter Series bottlings have (finally) arrived!\nA Saturday afternoon of drams\, brews\, snacks\, and incredible storytelling as we launch our latest special bottlings: the ‘Winter Series’\, encompassing four distinct Society releases that have been bottled to celebrate Halloween\, Christmas\, the New Year\, and Burns Night…we’re a little late for all of these but that’s just one of the quirks of our incredible liquid maturing in the UK! \nGuests will be treated to a beer on arrival\, plus generous platters of snacks to go around with the four Winter Series bottlings (yes\, that includes the 11-year-old sherried malt from Distillery 29)\, plus two other bottlings (one of which is long sold out!) on pour. \nThat’s six Society drams\, beer on arrival\, and a light lunch\, all in the private dining room of one of our favourite local venues — Common Vice! \n  \nWhen? Saturday the 21st of March\, 2:00pm arrival for a 2:30pm start.\nWhere? It’s a celebration of everything that makes the SMWS truly unique: the whisky\, stories\, experiences\, and most importantly\, the members! \nJoin your local Queensland Ambassador\, Scott Mansfield\, at Common Vice for a private evening of drams and storytelling as you dive into the flavours of October outturn and beyond — including this year’s Gathering bottle: Cask 95.105 Into the carpenter’s kitchen\, a HTMC cask-matured 14-year-old whisky handpicked by our own Marketing Manager\, Adam Ioannidis. \nEach ticket includes 5x SMWS drams (including a 31-year-old sherried Vaults Collection bottling)\, a beer on arrival\, and a two-course dinner (plus sides) from the Common Vice kitchen! DESCRIPTION:One night in Brisbane — Krsna Rajalingam of BASIK Chocolates will present a flavour pairing experience like no other.\nJoin Krsna and your local State Ambassador Scott Mansfield at Common Vice for the only in-person SMWS x BASIK Chocolates pairing experience of 2024! Guests will be treated to 5x single-cask\, cask-strength Society drams and 5x different handmade chocolate bonbons (two of each flavour for a total of 10x bonbons per person)\, as well as a welcome drink and some tasty small plates from Common Vice’s Asian-fusion kitchen. \nFor those unfamiliar with Krsna and his work\, he has this incredible ability to craft the most insane flavours into bite-sized chocolate delights using ingredients you thought you would never see in chocolate. This is a unique experience to see Krsna work his magic and discuss flavour up close and personal — an event not to be missed and one that some members have joined the Society exclusively for! \n  \nWhen? Thursday\, 5th of September 2024 — 6:30pm arrival and 7:00pm start.\nWhere?
