But for now\, join us for our farewell tasting at Savile Row with a classic ‘STEPS’ whisky tasting event. What is STEPS? Essentially\, it’s just a free-roam tasting event where you’ll be able to taste 7x different Society whiskies at your own pace with plenty of Snacks in-between. A social and flavour-driven afternoon with new November/December Outturn releases on pour! \n7x drams\, a welcome beer\, and tasty snacks from Bird’s Nest — this is going to be one fantastic afternoon! Plus\, the Savile Row bar will be open all afternoon for any extra drinks anyone is interested in purchasing. Once the event ends\, guests are encouraged to hang around and enjoy the hospitality of Brisbane’s favourite Society Partner Bar. \n\nWhen? Saturday the 6th of December\, 2:00pm arrival and start.\nWhere? Savile Row; 667 Ann Street\, Brisbane Queensland 4006.\n  \n\nTickets are available for both members and non-members. DESCRIPTION:The Whisky Wanderers Festival has arrived on our shores\, making it the perfect time to celebrate together in Brisbane through the medium of full-flavoured Society whisky!\n  \nThe Scotch Malt Whisky Society has long celebrated the regions\, provenance\, casks\, and flavours of whisky\, and this year\, we invite you to embark on a journey through flavour with our own take on the classic festivals — The Whisky Wanderers. Building on the Rare Releases of previous years\, the Society has unveiled a series of specially selected and carefully matured casks globally to mark the inaugural Whisky Wanderers Festival. We’re lucky enough to be receiving 14 of them in Australia (including the highly anticipated five-region blended malt Wandering Alchemy). \nJoin SMWS Australia Marketing Manager Adam Ioannidis and local Ambassador Scott Mansfield for a special afternoon tasting through 8x of these incredible Whisky Wanderers casks\, accompanied by snacks and small plates at the dashing and cosy Partner Bar Savile Row. This is a casual free-roam event (think of it like a mini-festival) where guests will have the opportunity to taste through the whiskies at their own pace in their own order; it will also be a unique opportunity to try a brand new Society distillery code — Distillery 162! \n  \nWhen? Saturday 5th of July 2025 — 2:00pm – 5:00pm.\nWhere? Introducing Savile Row in Brisbane as our latest SMWS Partner Bar — and we’re hosting an incredible Gathering tasting to celebrate its launch!\nIf you’ve ever been to Savile Row in Fortitude Valley\, then you’ll know what an absolute arthouse the venue is; a stately and luxe setting with appealing furnishings and gorgeous hardware (not to mention the incredible chandelier suspended on the ceiling). We are so excited to have them on board as a Partner Bar and host this incredible tasting experience. \nAfter the initial welcome drink\, we will be tasting through 5x tasty single-cask\, cask-strength Society whiskies (including the 2024 Aussie Gathering bottling Cask 59.86 The beneficence of bees) and enjoying some tasty Japanese snacks provided by Bird’s Nest across the road. This will be a hybrid presentation/cocktail-style event with 6pm – 7pm acting as a formal tasting before some more relaxed mingling can take place (with additional drinks being able to be purchased from the bar). \n \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen? Friday\, 18 October 2024 — 5:45pm arrival and 6pm start.\nWhere?
