DESCRIPTION:Gear up for the 2024 Global Gathering in Sydney!\nGlobal Gathering is an SMWS initiative started several years ago where we dedicate the entire month of September to emphasise the ethos that whisky should be shared\, not just with your friends and neighbours\, but with fellow Society members from all over the world! Each branch has an entire cask bottled exclusively for its local members; and whilst it’s still too soon to unveil the details of our Australian-exclusive Gathering cask\, we have organised an incredible whisky party for our NSW members! \nThis year\, we’re celebrating at NSW Partner Bar The Captain’s Balcony in Crows Nest\, where we have exclusive access to the upstairs room for a token-based whisky party complete with food and a cash bar downstairs if you feel like additional beverages or meals. Join the friendly faces of our Sydney SMWS team for an afternoon of tasting through 9x different Society drams (including the 2024 Gathering bottling) at your own pace! \nWe’ll break halfway through the afternoon for a little bit of discussion about the Gathering bottling and food (each guest will receive their own small plate)\, before returning for some more drams and hearty camaraderie. \n \n  \nWhen? Saturday\, 14th of September 2024 — 2:30pm arrival and 3pm start.\nWhere? All members are welcome + guests of members at member rates.
