We’ve had an absolutely massive year at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society this year, and it’s the members being a part of Australia’s best whisky club make the journey worthwhile!
From our 15th anniversary of the local branch, to winning the IBC top gong of Independent Bottler of the Year 2017, we’ve had lots to celebrate this year, so our final formal announcement for 2017 better be a good one then!
The Society would like to formally welcome Bar Lafayette to the Partner Bar network worldwide. The Perth staple bar, already renowned for their incredible service, welcoming atmosphere, and comfortable spaces is now formally an official Partner Bar of the SMWS. What this means is that members can now expect to see a few more Perth CBD events at this incredible space, as well as a range of tasty single cask spirits from the Society available by the dram at the from now.
Being a Partner Bar of the SMWS is a mutual honour for both the venue and for the Society. In taking great pride of looking after our members and serving the best single casks on earth, our Partner Bars are venues that we deem ideal to carry Society single casks. Members of the SMWS receive 10% off all non-SMWS spirits and 20% off all Society spirits by producing a membership card.
My hot tip: order a dram of G8.7 ‘Caribbean banana fritters’ alongside a serve of Bar Lafayette’s Bruschetta. Incredible!
