Prepare yourself for a wintery festivals tasting at the National Press Club!
The Scotch Whisky festivals are some of the most anticipated Scotch events in the world — taking place every May with each of the five unique Scotch whisky regions celebrating in their own way, and multiple distilleries releasing special bottlings in commemoration. The Scotch Malt Whisky Society is proud to be releasing its own festival bottlings once again for 2023, and you’ll be able to drink them at the same time as they will be in Scotland!
Whilst our Scottish cousins dash outdoors during the Fèis Ìle festival, grasping every skerrick of sunshine from windswept beaches and celebrating madly in tiny noisy convivial bars reeking of peat smoke — we Canberrans are bracing for the onslaught of winter! What better place to take refuge from icy winds and sleeting cloudscapes than the National Press Club in Barton, where we will warm you all with brilliant Festival malts.
Delicious charcuterie and light dessert accompaniments will complement your palate as you enjoy five of the ten hand-selected festival malts (a mixture of single casks and Rare Release small batch single malts). Your local State Ambassador Drew McKinnie will be present to guide you through the delicious festival bottlings, with a cheerful crowd of friends to share the enjoyment.
