Alex Moores proudly presents: Creator’s Collection DIPTYCH – the only VIC launch event for this special duo celebrating over 60 years of combined sherried maturation from this prolific distillery 96.
Renowned for their sherry casks, their rich and sumptuous spirit, their ‘Ode’ to the valley or embers. We’ve been lucky to secure a small portion of this latest Creator’s Collection: Diptych, a duo of 30 year old single casks both with a unique maturation story. Truly a work of liquid beauty in two parts, this tasting will feature this latest Creator’s Collection duo, along with 4 other whiskies of incredible calibre on the night.
This collection brings together two single casks from the same distillery, both distilled in 1994 and matured for 28 years in ex-Oloroso sherry butts before being additionally matured into first fill ex-Pedro Ximinez casks, one American oak, one Spanish oak. A truly remarkable side-by-side to be had featuring over 60 years of sherried maturation from the SMWS.
Each ticket includes 6x whiskies, and grazing plates, hosted upstairs at Whisky & Alement; a perfect session for anyone who enjoys their whisky with serious presence.
When? Tuesday the 10th February 2026, 6pm arrival for a 6:30pm start.

Tickets: go on sale Monday 19th January at midday AEDT. Tickets for this event are extremely limited.
Members are welcome to bring guests at member pricing. Non-members are also welcome to attend. Please note Whisky & Alement have stair-only access to the event space for any wheelchair users. This event is strictly 18+ and SMWS encourages responsible service of alcohol at every event we host.
