Under the Liquor Act of 2007, tt is against the law to sell or supply to, or to obtain on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years.

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society supports the responsible service of alcohol and all Society whiskies are sold through Society bottlings are offered and sold through The Artisanal Spirits Company Pty Ltd, Liquor Licence LIQP770017428.

Awards

The SMWS is the leading whisky club worldwide and is internationally recognised as the flavour-leaders in many awards each year celebrating our dedication to quality and our members.

The Society was honoured to receive the Whisky Magazine’s Independent Bottler of the Year award in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019. World Whisky Awards in 2022, and the New York International Spirits Competition 2024 Independent Bottler of the Year.
